Connecting CA MTSS to California’s LCAP
The evidence-based domains and features of the California MTSS Framework provide opportunities for LEAs to strengthen school, family, and community partnerships while developing the whole child in the most inclusive, equitable learning environment. It offers the potential to create systemic change through intentional integration of services and supports to quickly identify and meet the needs of all students.
The Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP), a three-year plan that describes the goals, actions, services, and expenditures to support positive student outcomes is an important document that reflects the values and goals of an LEA. The LCAP priorities Conditions for Learning, Student Engagement, and Pupil Outcomes, align with the work of MTSS. Creating an effective CA MTSS Framework will ultimately assist with accomplishing many of the goals and objectives included in your LEA’s LCAP.
The LCAP provides an opportunity for your LEA to showcase the programs and services your LEA selected to meet your local needs.
