The MTSS domain incorporates the whole child approach to instruction including Inclusive Academic Instruction, Inclusive Behavior Instruction, Inclusive Social-Emotional Instruction. Research consistently shows that students learn best when their hearts, minds, and bodies feel safe, secure, and respected. The high leverage practices for instruction should be used to teach academic content as well as behavioral and social-emotional skills.
