What does the ELA/ELD Framework say?

Chapter 8 of the ELA/ELD Framework states that assessment FOR learning, also known as formative assessment, provides information about student learning minute-by-minute, day-to-day, and week-to-week so that teachers continuously adapt instruction to meet students’ specific needs and secure progress.
