- Make a list of 2-3 things that you have done to stay engaged in this virtual professional learning experience.
  - Maybe you need to take breaks regularly
  - Maybe you are working with a colleague at similar times and text about your experiences
  - Maybe you need to eat snacks or have a favorite beverage nearby.

Think of this as an opportunity to reflect on your own process for learning new content in this virtual way.

We don’t often take the time to reflect on how we accomplish a task. As educators, counselors, or administrators, we have ways of working that we have developed over our careers. We are experts in our own learning; we are “expert learners.” However, the patterns in which we work were established long before we started our professional lives. As students, even going back to early childhood, we start learning what motivates us, how we like to learn new information, and how we like to demonstrate what we know. We can’t necessarily articulate it, but it starts developing in a predictable pattern of variability.
